Aptitude & Ability tests
PsyAsia International is pleased to team exclusively with the world's leading publisher of modern, fresh and innovative aptitude tests, Saville Consulting. Developed by Professor Peter Saville (the co-founder and former executive chairman of SHL) and his team, this portfolio of tests offers exceptional and precise measurement in short periods of time and provides outstanding, easy to understand reports. Clients are no longer stuck with boring tests that have not been developed in years, rather bright, well-validated tests which capitalise on advances in online technology and come from a name they know they can trust.

Some major benefits of the Saville Consulting range:
- Shorter assessment times
- Fresh, modern content and design
- Greater job relevance
- Clear instructions
- New, in-depth outputs
- Candidate friendly feedback
- Saville Consulting has moved beyond a single summary measure of overall test performance and now provides supplementary information on Test Taking Style in terms of Accuracy, Speed and Caution as well as sub-scores based on question formats.

Swift Analysis, Comprehension and Technical Aptitude combination assessments measure broad reasoning constructs and are ideal for screening, talent audit and selection in situations where time is at a premium. Each series of separate aptitude has been developed for a broad range of roles and feature the three test types likely to be most relevant in such roles. The separate tests measure a specific aptitude area in-depth with up to five Item Type sub-scores.
All measures within a range have been designed to have comparable levels of difficulty. They have wide bandwidth and good score discrimination enabling deployment across a range of levels. Saville Consulting designated five work complexity levels with reference to the definitions of the UK National Vocational Qualifications and corresponding Zones in the US O-Net system and levels in the Stratified Systems Theory of Jaques (1996):
Level 5: Work that involves the application of a range of fundamental principles performed across a wide and often unpredictable variety of contexts with very substantial personal autonomy and often significant responsibility for the work of others and for the allocation of substantial resources. Personal accountabilities for analysis, diagnosis, design, planning, execution and evaluation often feature.
Level 4: Work that involves the application of knowledge in a broad range of complex, technical or professional work activities performed in a variety of contexts and with a substantial degree of personal responsibility and autonomy. Responsibility for the work of others and the allocation of resources is often present.
Level 3: Work that involves the application of knowledge in a broad range of varied work activities performed in a wide variety of contexts, most of which are complex and non-routine. There is considerable responsibility and autonomy and control or guidance of others is often required.
Level 2: Work that involves the application of knowledge in a significant range of varied work activities, performed in a variety of contexts. Some of these activities are complex or non-routine and there is some individual responsibility or autonomy. Collaboration with others, perhaps through membership of a work group or team, is often a requirement.
Level 1: Work that involves the application of knowledge in the performance of a range of varied work activities, most of which are routine and predictable.
